Sanford Biggers is SCAD's deFINE ART 2021 honoree. Sanford's solo exhibition Contra/Diction is currently at the SCAD Museum of Art’s Walter O. Evans Center for African American Studies. The exhibition brings together works from the past 20 years of his practice. Contra/Diction will be on view through August 15, 2021.

These micro-actions, carried on from homes from Rio de Janeiro to The Bronx and Puerto Rico, are intended to invoke healing —personal and collective—, serve as catalyst for inner and outer balance, and induce co-regulation as the night blossoms.
