Notably, she served as the Mediation Coordinator for the Liverpool Biennial in 2016 and 2018, orchestrating the experimental program "The City Is a School." In her current role as a PGR in Teaching Support at Liverpool John Moores University, Gabriela imparts her extensive knowledge by teaching diverse subjects, including decolonial thinking, the history of biennials, and the future of museums. She actively contributes to students' professional development and fosters critical thinking within various art disciplines.

Outside academia, Gabriela's experience as the Administration and Communications Officer at Scouse Flowerhouse/Eden Project has equipped her with solid project management and communication skills.
