Praxis Statement
As an industrial design practitioner and educator, have involved over 100 cross-disciplinary product designs for two decades and observed the transformation of the role of design in the new product development. I am interested in defining a relationship between customer and object (or service) with configuration of function, features and form as the definition tools.
Research Interest
Within the realm of healthcare, my interests lie in understanding of user-centered healthcare product for patients’ rehabilitation and aging population’s quality of life. In the healthcare product development, emphatic understanding of the users is critical in terms of defining the product purpose including the application of technologies that diagnose, treat and/or prevent illness and injury.
