Miriam Schaer: Solid Gold at the Brooklyn Museum

Ancient Armor, Girdle Book by Miriam Schaer

MFA Alum Miriam Schaer's artist book 'Ancient Armor' is included in 'Solid Gold,' an exhibition celebrating the Brooklyn Museum's 200th anniversary. This 'girdle book,' inspired by medieval book structures and created from an actual gold treated girdle and features images of women warriors, Ancient Armor is is part of the artist book collection at the Brooklyn Museum.

Solid Gold is on view in the Morris A. and Meyer Schapiro Wing and Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Gallery, 5th Floor. The exhibition is on view November 16, 2024–July 6, 2025
