Works by Transart Alumni
The Endpoint Collective
(Deborah Carruthers, Gabriel Deerman, Margaret Hart and Mark Roth)
This exhibition brings together TT alumni who have joined as a collective of artists and artworks investigating issues of connection, replication, and structure through process-based works including printmaking, collage, photomontage and painting. The works all are multi-layered in both process and content. Each artist boldly engages social issues of contemporary life through rich, multi-layered imagery and meaningful practice. The works address the entangled and sprawling conflicts unleashed in the time of the Anthropocene, seen in large scale works by Carruthers and Deerman, while also exploring speculative futures in a posthumous era, as seen in work by Roth and Hart. These points of crossover create a strong visual and inter-contextual pollination.
The Endpoint Collective has found value in the constant reimagining of their interactive process. By means of research (both traditional and interpretive), group discussions and realizing individual works, the collective has found a distinct model for their creative endeavors. This exhibition invites the public to engage with these ideas and stimulate an open dialogue.
