Freed Formats: The Book Reconsidered
Schaer has several works (two shown above) included in Freed Formats: The Book Reconsidered, curated by Chris Perry and Alice Walsh. Traveling throughout Connecticut and New York State, the exhibition is at Creative Arts Workshop, 80 Audubon Street, New Haven, CT until July 28. She will be giving a gallery talk about her work in the show at CAW on Saturday, June 22, 11 am.
Hand & I at Dorsky Curatorial
Excerpts from Schaer’s series Babies (Not) On Board are included in Hand & I, curated by Yulia Tikhanova at Dorsky Curatorial Projects, 11-03 45th Avenue, Long Island City, NY. The exhibition is up until July 15. A PDF catalog with a wonderful essay by the curator is available here.
At The Walker
The Walker Museum of Art in Minneapolis has acquired two of Schaer’s artist books, Witness and When Roses Cease to Bloom.
