SESSION EDITORS
Jerald Walker is the author of The World in Flames: A Black Boyhood in a White Supremacist Doomsday Cult and Street Shadows: A Memoir of Race, Rebellion, and Redemption, winner of the 2011 PEN New England/L.L. Winship Award for Nonfiction. He has published in magazines such as Creative Nonfiction, Harvard Review, The Missouri Review, River Teeth, Mother Jones, The Iowa Review, and Oxford American, and he has been widely anthologized, including five times in Best American Essays. The recipient of the University of Texas at Austin’s James A. Michener fellowship and a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship, Walker is a professor of creative writing at Emerson College.
Tim Weed is the author of a short fiction collection, A Field Guide to Murder & Fly Fishing, shortlisted for the Eric Hoffer Book Award, and a novel, Will Poole’s Island, named to Bank Street College of Education’s Best Books of the Year. He is the winner of a Writer’s Digest Popular Fiction Award and a Solas Best Travel Writing Award, and his work has appeared in Literary Hub, The Millions, Fiction Writers Review, Writer’s Chronicle, Colorado Review, Backcountry, and many others. A member of the Vermont Humanities Council Speakers’ Bureau and a co-founder of the Cuba Writers Program, Tim teaches fiction at Grub Street and is on the core faculty of the Newport MFA in Creative Writing.
