A/V Recordings of Meetings and Teaching Sessions
In response to student feedback, we support recording teaching sessions wherever possible, including a combination of audio, textual and/or video recording. Intensive session recordings will only be accessible to students via password except for our Open Window Public Talk series, which all may freely access. Recordings are password-protected and linked to the course description on our Intensives webpage within approximately two weeks from the session.
Our rationale for this development is as follows:
We are responsible for supporting the learning of all our students, including neurodivergent students and those with learning difficulties. Consequently, we want to ensure that students can access all our teaching and revisit teaching sessions as they fit their educational aims and needs to support their educational journey.
We are a Global Institute. Therefore, we are responsible for ensuring that all our students have equal access to teaching and learning. We aim to ensure that all our students can access all our teaching and learning communities from whatever time zone they are located in.
Our teaching offer is a resource we are rightly proud of. We will build an archive of some of our shared teaching sessions for future students where possible.
Session leader's pedagogical approaches will vary, and the appropriateness of recording will depend on course content and their teaching style. Recording is ultimately at the discretion of the course leader. Session leaders are requested to alert the session moderator as early as possible if they wish to request that they only record the lecture component of their session or none at all.
