Mentors: Mentors are sponsored by the Institute to work with students on a one-on-one basis on their art and/or curatorial projects off-site during semesters between residencies. Responsibilities include a minimum of two meetings per semester for critiques and advisement on the student’s media independent study projects plus a mid-project and final written evaluation each year. Student and Mentor make schedule arrangements between themselves. An initial list of mentors is available here.

Honorarium: 500 Euros per project. Mentors can work with more than one student. Be sure not to begin working with your student/s without a contract.

Online forms for mentors and students can be viewed here.

Application Form: Please fill out the form below. Your information will be made available to our students online, who will in turn contact you if they are interested in working with you. Transart Institute
, in cooperation with Danube University Krems, offers an international low residency graduate art program leading to a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in New Media. Students pursue work in media art-related genres and create their own course of study.  For two years, students work independently on art and research projects off-site with the support of faculty and self-chosen artist mentors. Lectures, critiques, performances, exhibitions, seminars and workshops take place in three intensive summer residencies on-site. The low-residency format permits students to continue with their professional life while participating in the program.

Genres include: Animation, Architecture, Cyber Art, Experimental Art, Film, Video, Graphic Design, Installation Art, Interactive Art, Interdisciplinary Art, Performance Art, Photography, and Sound / Music.
