Part A (required of all applicants)
1. Portfolio: website/s or digital files only
Portfolio should contain documentation of recent artistic practice. Include work which will give an indication of the direction you see your work heading. Send link to your website or send files (approx. 10-20 images or time based media, neither more than initially 10 MB) to: admin[at]transartinstitute.org. Please prepare your files for screen resolution, no larger than 1200x1600 pixels, Macintosh readable and from any standard file format e.g. JPG, PDF, MOV etc.
2. Personal statement: 300-600 words (approx.)
What are the themes and interests and guide your artistic praxis? How do you see your work in relation to contemporary culture? What do you want your art work to communicate? How you would like your praxis to develop? What are your plans for your first year in the program?
Note: Please keep a copy of your statement as it will be needed again later in the process.
Part C (MFA applicants only, if requesting)
Advanced standing:
If applying for advanced standing give the following details of courses you want to have considered: course title, credit hours or ECTS, content, grade. It is possible to get credit for one semester of graduate work from other graduate level institutions pending transcript review.
Part B (Accepted MFA applicants only. You will be contacted directly with instructions on how to proceed.)
3. Curriculum vitae: Please include all post high school or baccalaureate study work undertaken. 4. Transcripts and diplomas: Donau University requires accepted students to submit originals of their diplomas (no transcripts). For transcripts not in English or German please provide a translation. 5. First year project plan: Outline for your first year. Describe your art and research project. Please include a list of books and other resources you intend to use for your first research project. Briefly describe how your research project will inform your art work.
Part D (MFA applicants only, if requesting)
Professional Equivalency:
If applying without a first degree please note: Danube University regulations require a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in art and/or media and a minimum age of 24 years.
Please list relevant professional experience including employment, exhibtions, courses, publications and curatorial work.
